Reiki

Reiki is a non invasive healing technique that involves the laying on of hands on certain areas of the body. It is a gentle but powerfully effective treatment enhancing the body’s own ability to heal itself.

Known as Chi to the Chinese, or Prana in the Indian tradition, Ki is the Japanese translation of this living light energy that permeates and sustains the universe.

The Reiki practitioner has been attuned to these high energy vibrations and has been trained to channel this Reiki energy to the client.

These energy vibrations do not come from the practitioner, they come from the universe itself. The Reiki practitioner is a channel, ‘a hollow reed through which the wind blows it’s tune”.

Mikao Usui is the founder of the Reiki method of healing. It is generally believed that Usui developed this healing after a series of enlightening experiences on Mount Kurama in Japan. I use the traditional Usui method - officially known as Usui Reiki Rhyoho. Reiki energy helps restore the natural balance of our body, mind and soul.
